Maldives Speaker Mohamed Nasheed yesterday termed as inaccurate media reports which quoted Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Dr. Harsha de Silva as saying that Saudi Arabian Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud, has rejected a request from Nasheed to help Sri Lanka.
“Harsha de Silva is a long-time friend and we often meet. I always enjoy his company. This press story isn’t accurate though I believe a number of countries are willing to help Sri Lanka, and that the assistance will come through,” Nasheed tweeted.
