MG Motor India has increased the price of its Astor SUV to Rs 46,000, depending on the variety. The new MG Astor is now available at a price of Rs 10.28 lakh to Rs 18.13 lakh (front display room). Launched in October 2021, the MG Astor is one of the best-selling SUVs on the market. The MG Astor was introduced at an earlier exhibition price of Rs 9.78 lakh to Rs 16.78 lakh. Which means, now that you buy this SUV full of features, you will have to pay extra.
5 levels of determination
MG currently sells about 2,000 to 3,000 units of Astor SUV every month. The company says the demand for its new SUV is very high, but due to the continuing shortage of semiconductor chips, it is unable to meet the growing demand. MG Astor is available in 5 trim levels – Style (Style), Super (Super), Sharp (Sharp), Smart (Smart) and Savvy (Savvy).
New prices based on variations
The MG Aster SUV comes with two engines which are 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.3-liter turbocharged. 1.5 liter petrol naturally costs Rs 30,000 to Rs 46,000. Although the 1.3-liter models are available in the Smart and Sharp variants, they now cost about Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000.
Engine and power
The MG Aster comes with two petrol engines and three convertible engines. There are two engines to choose from – Brit Dynamic 220 Turbo Petrol Engine, 6-speed AT producing 140 PS power and 220 Nm of torque. It comes with a second VTI Tech petrol engine and an 8-speed CVT that produces 110 PS power and 144 Nm of torque.

The car manufacturer claims that the attractive look and style of the first Indian SUV MG Astor (MG Aster) with Personal AI assistant and first-level autonomous (Level 2) technology creates better communication with today’s customers. It gets a bright celestial grille, which makes its presence audible on the road. The SUV stands in a gentle and action-packed manner, Leopard jumps off the shoulder line. The revolving head LED header in the Aster SUV features nine diamond elements that reflect a completely different Hawks eyeball with subtle details.

The new Aster SUV has a 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital instrument console, electronic power steering with adjust mode (Normal, Urban and Dynamic), panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing wiper, 6 One-way electric convertible driver seat comes with features such as automatic AC.
Level 2 Independence Security
For the first time in MG Aster, the Level-2 stand-alone stand-alone technology has been offered in a medium-sized SUV. The Autonomous Technology feature offers 14 security systems. It covers a wide range of features including Lane Departure Warning, Lane-Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Headlamp Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Prevention. Apart from this, it will get a speed assist system, which will always control the speed of the car.
Safety features
27 safety features are available as standard for all Aster models. Although 49 security features are provided with high contrast. The new MG Aster gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), TCS (Traction Control System), HHC (Hill Hold Control), HDC (Hill Descent Control), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Features such as ISOFIX children’s anchors and all 4 disc brakes are available. The SUV also features a few first-class features such as electronic parking brake with auto-hold, tire pressure monitoring system, 360-degree surround view camera, front-angle fog lamps, rear fog lamps, protection alarm, rear defogger, hot ORVMs. and the cage body of the highest quality steel.
