Throwing garbage with the electricity bill out of his house window into the streets has landed a man from Hatton with a Court fine of Rs.10,000.
The man was fined Rs.10,000 by the Hatton Magistrate’s Court after the Public Health Inspector’s office filed charges against him under the Environment Act alleging illegal dumping of garbage into the environment.
The PHI’s office had identified the person after verifying the identity of the person through the electricity bill. The unfortunate man involved in the incident is a resident of Hijrapura, Hatton.
The Hatton Dickoya Municipal Council Public Health Inspector R.R.S.Madawela had filed charges in the Hatton Magistrate’s Court regarding the electricity bill which was found on a street in Hatton right under the man’s house window.
