Kashmir: Terrorists kill another migrant, shoot dead bank manager in Kulgam

A manager of the Ellaquai Dehati Bank was shot dead in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. The bank manager was on duty when attacked by terrorists. 

He received several bullets shots and was immediately rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Officials told News24 that a branch manager of the

Ellaquai Dehati Bank

was fired upon by terrorists when he was on duty at the Arreh Mohanpora branch in Kulgam. 

The victim has been identified as Vijay Kumar of Rajasthan.

Soon after the attack, the area was cordoned off by the security forces and search operation has been launched to nab the terrorists.

“Terrorists fired upon a bank employee (manager) at Ellaqie Dehati Bank at Areh Mohanpora in Kulgam district. He received grievous gunshot injuries in this terror incident. He is a resident of Hanumangarh Rajasthan. The area has been cordoned off. Further details shall follow,” the Jammu and Kashmir Police said in a statement.

As per local news agencies, The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan-backed terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has claimed responsibility for the attack on the bank manager in Kulgam. The TRF has threatened to carry out more such attacks.

Two days ago, on May 31, terrorists had killed a Kashmiri Hindu female school teacher Rajni Bala from Samba, Jammu outside her school in Gopalpora, Kulgam.
