Kashmir: LeT terrorist involved in murder of bank manager Vijay Kumar killed in Shopian

Aasif Suhaf, Srinagar: 

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in an ongoing overnight anti-terrorist operation by the security forces at the Kanjuilar area of Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources told News24 that two terrorists associated with the LeT were killed during a gunfight with the police and security forces in Kanjiular.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said, “One of the killed terrorists has been identified as Jan Mohd Lone of Shopian. Besides other terrorist crimes, he was involved in the recent killing of Vijay Kumar, Bank manager on June 2, 2022, in Kulgam district.”

Vijay Kumar,

who was working as a branch

manager

of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ellaquai Dehati Bank, was a resident of the

Hanumangarh

district in Rajasthan. He was shot dead by terrorists at Areh Mohanpora in Kulgam district on June 2.

Meanwhile, the search operation is still going on in the area, as some more terrorists are believed to be trapped near the encounter spot..
