There was once romance brewing between Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan. In fact, they even had joint fan accounts post the release of their 2020 film Love Aaj Kal. The Imtiaz Ali directorial did not work well at the box office but the two sparked relationship rumours for quite some time, until they unfollowed each other on social media platforms.
Now, the former couple is making headlines once again as the two met at the Pinkvilla Style Icons event in Mumbai on Thursday and posed together for the paparazzi. In the pictures, the couple can be seen smiling for the shutterbugs. While Kartik looked dapper in a black suit, Sara made a splash in her stunning black ensemble with a thigh-high slit.
The video has left netizens divided. While some are celebrating the reunion of Love Aaj Kal 2 stars, others call it an ‘awkward moment’. Some internet users even went on to say that Sara is not comfortable around Kartik. “Looks like Sara is faking the smile,” one of the comments read. Another social media user wrote, “She doesn’t seem comfortable and we all know why.”
Just a few days back, Sara talked about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s success and said, “Congratulations to everybody that is doing well. The industry needs it and may everybody’s films do well. May the audience shower all of us with love.” However, when the reporter asked her if she misses Kartik, she said ‘thank you’ and wrapped up the interaction.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara will next be seen in Varun Dhawan starrer Bawaal. She also has Laxman Utekar’s yet to be titled in her pipeline.
Kartik, who is currently basking in the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, has Captain India, Shehzada, Sathyanarayan ki Katha and Freddy in his pipeline.
