JNU Ragging Case: JNU student accuses seniors of ragging, she was asked to do THIS in room

First year graduate student of Jawaharlal Nehru University has submitted a complaint to the administration alleging ragging and harassment against two seniors. The student says that her seniors are harassing her, due to which she is mentally very upset. Taking the matter seriously, the university administration has said that the matter is being investigated.

In her complaint to Chief Proctor Rajnish Kumar Mishra on May 27, the student said that the matter started in February. “It is to be brought to your notice that two senior students… have been harassing me since my arrival on the campus in February. For the past three months, I have been under extraordinary psychological pressure because of this. I am depressed for the last three months and my life on campus has become unbearable due to the actions of these people.

Seniors used to call her to wash utensils and clothes in the room

The student told that his seniors were with her in his hostel for some time. She also said a lot of derogatory things were also said about her regional identity. She also told that she was forced to work in their room. She was asked to wash their clothes, utensils etc. They used to call me ‘hey girl’ all the time, never used to take my name. The student also said that both the seniors used to talk about her sexuality in various ways, due to which her partner’s behavior changed towards her.

Student Demands Justice

They started looking at her with strange eyes. Due to these rumors, she is not able to concentrate on her studies. The student also told those involved in ragging have political support. The girl has demanded justice. JNU’s Anti-Ragging Cell in a statement on Wednesday said the matter is under investigation and strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
