Good News! Now you can travel directly from Sonipat to Noida, Faridabad; new route to open soon

New Delhi:

Commuters from Sonipat to Faridabad or Noida will get a big relief soon. In the near future, they will not need to cross the

congested roads and flyovers

of Delhi. An elevated bypass road from Signature Bridge to the DND flyover will be constructed soon.

The  Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure Centre (UTTIPEC) has also approved this project.

The 13 km long elevated bypass road will connect the DND flyover through the floodplain area of the Yamuna. This bypass road will also be connected to Outer Ring Road, Ring Road, Barapula Flyover, ITO Flyover and NH-24 through an elevated loop.

Bypass road will start near Gopalpur village

The elevated bypass road will be of 6 lanes and its height will be around 20-22 meters from the ground. It will be made in two parts. The first part will be from Gopalpur village to Salimgarh Fort and the second part will be from Salimgarh – ITO bypass to the DND flyover. Traffic coming from Mukarba Chowk will be able to directly climb this bypass road.

A second elevated loop will be constructed over the signature bridge loop of those who have to go to Mukarba Chowk by bypass so that this traffic can land on the Outer Ring Road. A second loop will be made on Wazirabad Road to go to East Delhi.

Two elevated left turn slip roads will also be constructed to connect the ITO bridge. One sleep road bypass will allow the traffic coming to Vikas Marg and the other sleep road will allow the traffic coming from Vikas Marg to climb the bypass road. From here it will also be connected to NH-24 after going beyond the bypass road. Apart from this, it will also be connected to Barapula flyover through two loops. One loop will be to come from Barapula to Bypass Road, the other to go to Barapula. Further, this bypass will be connected to the DND flyover. Here also two loops will be made to connect DND.

What is the purpose of making a bypass road?

According to Delhi government sources, the traffic on the Outer Ring Road and Ring Road has increased significantly in the last few years. Gradually, the Outer Ring Road and Ring Road are also getting jammed. There is a plan to build a bypass road before the traffic volume exceeds the requirement and the problems increase.
