The Fort Magistrate yesterday issued an order preventing the protest from NSA Roundabout to Chetiya Road, NSA roundabout to Janadhipathi Mawatha, Ceramic Junction to York Street and Leyden Bastian Mawatha, Mudalige Mawatha, Hospital Street, Bank street, Baron Jayathilake Mawatha, Chatham Street, Canal Road today. The Court has also prevented the protesters from obstructing the public and vehicle movement of these roads.
The Fort Magistrate issued this order to organizers of the protest including Rathidu Suramya Senaratne alias “Retta” following a request by the Officer In Charge of Fort Police Station.
