Producer-director Ekta Kapoor turned 47 on June 7! an icon of the Bollywood industry has countless movies and soap operas. On the occasion of her 47th birthday, here’s a glimpse of her 5 best Bollywood film productions.

1. The Dirty Picture 

The film ‘The Dirty Picture’ is produced by Ekta Kapoor, and has a cast of Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, and Tushaar Kapoor. The film portrayed the true story of a South Indian adult film actress Silk Smita, who became a global star. However, lying and miserable happenings led to her tragic downfall.

2. Lootera

Lootera is one of the beautiful cinematic, produced by none other than Ekta Kapoor. The film has won many hearts. It’s a beautiful love story between a disguised archaeologist who falls in love with the daughter of an aristocratic family but the dark secret of the protagonist lends a sad ending. The film was a hit, it stars Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. 

3. Ek Villain

Another masterpiece by Ekta Kapoor production. The film narrates the story of a simple girl, played by Bollywood diva Shraddha Kapoor who falls in love with a goon, aka Siddharth Malhotra. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Asif Basra, and Shaad Randhawa. Ekta is all set to release ‘Ek Villain 2’ very soon on the big screen. 

4. Veere Di Wedding

Veere Di Wedding is Ekta’s one of the best films. The film portrays the lives of four childhood friends, as they guide through life and face challenges in their friendship and relationships. The film stars Bollywood A-listers namely Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, and Swara Bhaskar along with Shikha Talsania.

5. Pagglait

Unique content from Ekta Kapoor’s production, shows a simple story through the eyes of Sandhya, the protagonist, played seamlessly by Sanya Malhotra, as she rises above societal norms, and casual sexism, and eventually turns into a strong-headed woman.
