Delhi: CM Kejriwal, LG to hold weekly meeting regarding issues in national capital

While boasting about seamless coordination with new Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday informed about a weekly meeting where the two will meet to discuss issues regarding the national capital. The meeting will take place every week on Friday. 

“Every Friday, we (CM Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena) will meet at around 4-4.30 PM to discuss a range of issues related to Delhi. Today, we had a discussion on water and various other issues. We are having seamless coordination,” said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Earlier on the appointment of Saxena as LG of the national capital, the Delhi CM had assured him of “full cooperation” from his government.

Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister said, “On behalf of the people of Delhi, I extend a warm welcome to our new LG, Vinai Kumar Saxena ji. For the welfare of the people of Delhi, I assure him of my government’s full support.”

Notably, Vinai Kumar Saxena took oath as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi on May 26 as the post fell vacant after previous LG Anil Baijal tendered his resignation. 

Saxena who is the chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission was appointed Delhi’s new Lieutenant Governor on May 23.
