Coronavirus Update: Fear of 4th wave rise as India registers 40% more Covid-19 cases

Covid-19 Update: 

In the last 24 hours, 5,233 new cases of coronavirus were registered in India with 7 deaths due to infection, according to data released by the Union Ministry of Health.

There were a total of 3,345 discharges in the last 24 hours in the country, the total recovery rate was about 98.72 percent and the total recovery data reached 4,26,36,710.

in India have increased to 28,857. There were 26,976 active cases registered yesterday.

An increase of 1,881 cases has been recorded in active Covid-19 caseload in a period of 24 hours. The ministry said active cases accounted for 0.06 per cent of the total infection.

The total number of deaths in the country now is 5,24,715. In India, the first death due to the Covid-19 pandemic occurred in March 2020.

ICMR test:

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 85,35,22,623 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till June 7. Of these, 3,13,361 samples were examined on Tuesday.

Maharashtra Covid-19 Tally:

Maharashtra, meanwhile, recorded 1,881 fresh Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, an increase of more than 81% from Monday, while Mumbai alone contributed 1,242 infections.

The health department said that not a single case of Omicron B.A.5 variant has come to light.

“A 31-year-old woman from Pune was found positive for B.A.5 version,” the health department said. The report further states that the woman was asymptomatic and recovered in home isolation. The state, meanwhile, did not record any deaths related to Covid-19 on Tuesday.

On Monday, Maharashtra reported 1,036 coronavirus infections. Earlier, it was February 19 when 1,635 new Covid-19 cases were registered in Maharashtra, after which the cases were declining, however, once again on Tuesday, new Covid-19 infections are close to 2000.
