However, compared to the Covid-19 figures of the previous day, this number is slightly less. Earlier on Saturday, 13216 new cases of coronavirus were registered in the country while 23 people died.
According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health this morning, 12899 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the country in the last 24 hours, while 15 people have died. Meanwhile, 8518 people have been cured of the Covid-19 disease during this period.
Active Covid-19 cases have increased by 4366 in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of active Covid-19 patients has increased to 72474 at present. Along with this, the death toll from corona in the country has increased to 5 lakh 24 thousand 855.
The Union Health Ministry said that in the last 24 hours, 13 lakh 24 thousand 591 doses of Kovid vaccine have also been applied. In such a situation, so far, more than 196 crore (1,96,14,88,807) doses of the vaccine have been administered across the country. Four lakh 46 thousand 387 corona tests have also been done in the last 24 hours.
Most new cases of coronavirus have come from these 5 states
In the last 24 hours, the maximum cases of coronavirus have come from Maharashtra. 3883 new coronavirus cases were found in Maharashtra on Saturday. While 2 people died. Here the active Covid-19 cases have crossed 22 thousand.
After Maharashtra, the largest number of new Covid-19 cases came from Kerala in the last 24 hours. 3253 new Covid-19 cases were found here. The active cases here are now 21275. On Saturday, 7 deaths due to coronavirus were recorded in Kerala.
Apart from this, 1534 new coronavirus cases were found from Delhi on Saturday. There were also three deaths here. There are currently 5119 active Covid-19 cases in Delhi.
Apart from this, 750 new Covid-19 cases were found from Karnataka and 712 in Haryana.
