Commercial LPG price reduced by Rs 135 per cylinder; Check revised rates

The prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been reduced by Rs 135 per cylinder across cities from June 1. The decision to reduce the price of LPG cylinders is seen as a big relief to commoners who are facing the brunt of rising food prices.

In the national capital, the 19 kg commercial cylinder now costs ₹2219.00 in Delhi against the previous level, Rs2355.50 per cylinder. In Mumbai, commercial LPG price was reduced to ₹2171.50 per cylinder from RS 2,307 whereas, in Kolkata, a consumer will have to shell out ₹2,322 per cylinder instead of ₹2,455. At the same time, instead of ₹ ₹2,508 , a customer will have to spend ₹2373 in Chennai from today.

Earlier, in the first week of May, the price of an LPG cylinder was hiked by Rs 50.On May 1, the price of a 19-kilograms commercial LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 102.50, to Rs 2355.50. Last month, on May 1, Oil marketing companies organized more than 5000 LPG panchayats on the occasion of Ujjwala Diwas, where apart from experience sharing, aimed at safe and sustained usage of LPG, all-out efforts were made to maximize customer enrolment.
