New Delhi:
A drone attack has been reported at the United States consulate compound in Erbil, Iraq.
Initial reports suggest that attack was targeted at the US consulate. However, information of no specific target has yet been recognised.
The explosion attack has also damaged multiple cars.
Debris of a drone has also been recovered from the compound of US consulate.
Iraqi officials have confirmed that the attack on the US consulate was carried out via a bomb-laden drone at 9.35 pm (Iraq time).
Three civilians have reportedly been injured.
In response, US State Department issues a level 4 travel warning for Iran and Libya.
The drone was shot down by counter security forces.
