BIG BREAKING: Bus carrying 28 pilgrims to Yamunotri fall in gorge; Police recover 15 bodies, 6 injured; Amit Shah express grief

New Delhi: 

A bus that was destined to reach Yamunotri has unfortunately met with an accident on Sunday. The bus was reportedly carrying 28 pilgrims from Panna district in Madhya Pradesh did not make it all the way to Yamunotri. 

The bus fell into a gorge near Damta in Uttarkashi. 

Ashok Kumar, the DGP of Uttarakhand said that 15 bodies had already been recovered. Meanwhile, 6 people who were injured badly had been rushed to the hospital.

 The State police force along with the team State Disaser Response Force (SDRF) were continued with the investigation on the spot.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the CM of Uttarakhand Pushkar Dhami and expressed grief on the unfortunate incident. 

He said that the local administration and the team of SDRF were present at the spot of the accident and were involved in rescue and investigation. 

Amit Shah tweeted, “NDRF is also reaching there soon”.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami tweeted and expressed grief his grief over the entire incident. He also informed that orders to investigate the entire incident has already been given.
