YRF unveils new Prithviraj poster as Akshay Kumar completes 30 years in Bollywood

New Delhi:

Akshay Kumar has his hands full of new projects. One of his most-anticipated films is Prithviraj. As Akshay Kumar completes 30 years in Bollywood today, the makers of the film have released a motion poster to mark the momentous occasion. Prithviraj is based on the life and valour of the fearless and mighty Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. In the film, Akshay is seen portraying the character of legendary warrior who fought valiantly against the merciless invader Muhammad of Ghor.

In the video, Akshay Kumar is seen entering a room where he is being asked to unveil a poster that is covered with red cloth. Much to the surprise of everyone including Akshay, we are introduced to a new poster of Prithviraj. And when taken a closer look, we can see the poster is made up of Akshay’s films’ poster. Taken aback by the grand gesture, Akshay says, “It didn’t even cross my mind that this activity is happening to celebrate my 30 years in cinema! It’s fascinating that 30 years have passed since my first film Saugandh! The first shot of my film career was at Ooty and it was an action shot! Thank you very much for this gesture. This is really special.”

Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who is best known for directing the television epic Chanakya and the critically acclaimed film Pinjar, the film has Manushi Chhillar playing the role of Sanyogita. The film is set to release on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Earlier, revealing her excitement about working with Akshay, Manushi had said, “It’s an honour to be part of an Akshay Kumar-film. I will get to learn from someone who is the best in the industry. I have a lot of hard work to put in to prove myself. I’m prepared to do that.”

“The production house has shown faith in me by making me part of one of their biggest films. I want to prove myself. [Being on set] feels like I’m a kid in a candy store. I’m learning new aspects of film-making and acting,” she had said.
