Actor Vijay Deverakonda is on a roll. While Deverakonda is yet to establish himself as a pan-India actor, his popularity across the country knows no bound. The actor, who got critical acclaim with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Arjun Reddy, is foraying into the pan-India bandwagon with Liger. The Puri Jagannadh directorial features Ananya Panday as the leading lady and also has a cameo from boxing legend Mike Tyson. He also has JGM with Puri Jagannadh in his pipeline.
On the personal front, Vijay Deverakonda is rumoured to be dating Rashmika Mandanna. Rashmika is currently in ‘cloud 9’ with two Bollywood film releases; one is with Sidharth Malhotra in Mission Majnu and Amitabh Bachchan in Goodbye in the pipeline. She will also be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ with Ranbir Kapoor. Rashmika also has a film with Thalapathy Vijay in her kitty.
While Vijay and Rashmika both are thriving in their respective careers, there was a time when Rashmika was all set to settle down. Rashmika was earlier engaged to her Kirik Party co-star Rakshit Shetty. Rashmika and Rakshit were in love duing the shooting for the film Kirik Party and they soon got engaged on July 3, 2017, in a big ceromony but they called off their engagement. While Rashmika never went on cards to reveal the real reason of her breakup with Rakshit, rumours are rife that her alleged romance with Vijay Deverakonda was one of the reasons.
According to an interview with International Business Times, Rashmika had revealed that Vijay Deverakonda is the one who had helped her get over her ex-boyfriend, Rakshit Shetty. She had said, “I was recovering from my breakup with Rakshit Shetty. I needed comfort and care, which I found in Deverakonda. I was struggling to cope up with my emotions, and it was he who lifted my spirits. He was the one who made me understand that there was a different world outside, waiting for me to embrace.”
