WhatsApp users will soon be able to share large size files on the app. The company announced that it will soon release an update that will allow users to share files up to 2GB on the messaging app. And the feature will be added in groups of up to 512 people.
Group chat users will be able to share files up to 2GB
WhatsApp has now announced that a new update will increase the file sharing limit on the app to 2GB for group chat users. The announcement comes within a month of WhatsApp confirming that it is working on the feature.
Earlier, the company had announced that the 2GB file sharing feature is in the works. However, the company did not confirm the update rollout timeline at that time. Today, WhatsApp confirmed the rollout via Twitter. The update will soon allow users to send files up to 2GB on WhatsApp. However, no exact date has been announced yet. Reactions feature rollout begins
WhatsApp Reactions has also started rolling out from May 5. Mark Zuckerberg himself has given this information through Instagram Story. This feature will allow users to instantly react to messages with emoji. Initially, there will be six emojis which include Like, Love, Laugh, Surprise, Sad and Thanks. It is being said that all the emoji will be available in the coming time.
The company is also working on a community feature
WhatsApp is also working on a new feature called Communities. This feature will enable people to bring different groups together. People can get updates sent to the entire community and easily manage small discussion groups.
