These days many parts of the country including the Delhi-NCR region are facing a severe heat wave. According to the latest forecast of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), people are less likely to get relief from the heat at the moment.
The heat in Delhi may reach its peak in the coming three days. An alert has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regarding this.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that there may be more severe heat in Delhi today. For this, the IMD has also issued an ‘Orange’ alert. Due to the scorching heat in Delhi, people remained unwell for the whole day on Saturday and the mercury reached 47 degree Celsius in many areas of the national capital.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also said that after the activation of the Western Disturbances from May 16, there will be a change in the weather and light clouds will be seen in the sky. There is also a possibility of a dust storm in Delhi on Monday.
On May 17, the sky may be partly cloudy and the temperature may drop by 2 to 3 degrees. From May 18, the weather will be clear again and a rise in temperature may be recorded. In view of this, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the onset of heat wave once again from May 20.
Light to moderate rain may occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Lakshadweep and parts of Tamil Nadu and southern Karnataka. Light to moderate rain may occur over remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu. Light rain may occur at isolated places over Goa, south central Maharashtra, southern Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Marathwada, Telangana and the Western Himalayas.
