Captain Faf du Plessis went back in the 11th over after Obed McCoy bowled a bouncer. Plessis gifted his wicket in the hands of Ravichandran Ashwin and walked away with 25 runs under his name.

Rajasthan Royals’ Prasidh Krishna had become successful in denting Royal Challengers Bangalore as he dismissed Virat Kohli in the second over of the game. Kohli had to depart for just 7 runs, an undesirable situation at such a crucial stage.

Earlier, Sanju Samson won the toss and opted to bowl first to challenge RCB. Speaking at the toss, Samson said, “We will bowl first. The wicket is a bit sticky and hopefully, it will help our bowlers first-up. Yesterday we had a good practice session.”
