VIDEO: PM Modi receives grand welcome from NRIs in Tokyo

New Delhi: 

PM Narendra Modi has reached Tokyo on a two-day visit to Japan. Upon his arrival in Tokyo, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a warm welcome by the Indian diaspora at the hotel where he will be staying during his visit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the overseas Indians for the warm welcome. 

He tweeted, “Japan’s Indian community has made pioneering contributions in various fields. They are also connected to their roots in India. I thank you for the warm welcome to the Indian diaspora in Japan.”

Indian expatriate women said, “He is a very humble personality, we feel fortunate to have met him.” 

These women welcomed PM Modi in traditional clothes in Tokyo, Japan.

The people of Indian origin said, “We are very happy to welcome PM Modi to Japan. His energy is positive, he has made us proud everywhere.”

Several Indian expatriates welcomed PM Modi by calling him “Lion of Mother India”.

PM Modi to meet business leaders on first day of visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet NEC Corporation President Nobuhiro Ando, UNIQLO President and CEO Tadashi Yanai, Suzuki Motor Corporation Advisor Osamu Suzuki and SoftBank Group Corporation Board Director Masayoshi Son.
