Chandauli (Uttar Pradesh):
A 21-year old daughter of gangster Kanhaiya Yadav was found dead after the police on Sunday raided into the house and allegedly thrashed the girl to death. While the elder daughter died on the spot, the younger girl was admitted to hospital after sustaining injuries. Following which, SHO of Saiyyedraja police station was suspended.
“The SHO was suspended and the process is underway to lodge FIR on getting a complaint from the family of the deceased,” said Sanjeev Singh, District Magistrate Varanasi.
Singh informed, “Nisha, daughter of gangster Kanhaiya Yadav was found dead in her house. The deceased was allegedly thrashed by the SHO of Saiyyedraja police station after which she died.”
The younger daughter of the gangster was also allegedly thrashed and has suffered serious injuries. “She is currently admitted to the hospital and is undergoing treatment,” Singh said.
Family of the deceased accused that the police rushed into the house, beaten up the girls and raped them.
According to India Today, the younger girl accused the police of beating her elder sister, Nisha, to death and frame it as a suicide by hanging her to the ceiling fan.
The incident has led to protests against police officials by the local villagers near the residence of Kanhaiya Yadav. Samajwadi Party leaders and workers also reached the spot and joined the protest.
“Police went to the house of Kanhaiya Yadav. He was not there. Then they assaulted his daughters. The elder one has died while the younger one is admitted in the hospital,” said SP leader Prabhu Narayan Singh Yadav.
Meanwhile, SP spokesperson shared the video of the younger daughter of yadav where she can be seen subconcious and alleging that they were beaten by the female as well as male police.
However, the Superintendent of Police (SP) said that the police personnel left the house after finding out that Kanhaiya Yadav was not home. He further said however, as per the preliminary investigation, it seemed that the girl committed suicide due to family disputes.
