According to reports, the two suspects had come in a car and launched the RPG from a distance of about 80 meters from the intelligence office building.

Sources said that the rocket-propelled grenade was not fired from the target, but was a random shot.

Meanwhile, intelligence officials and investigators are currently scrutinizing the CCTV footage.

Sources said the rocket launcher has probably been delivered via drone from Pakistan. In the past few months, there has been an increase in the use of drones to transport weapons, explosives and narcotics from Pakistan to Punjab.

An explosion occurred on the third floor of the Intelligence Office of Punjab Police in Mohali on Monday evening, breaking window panes and damaging property.

According to Mohali Superintendent of Police Harvinder Sandhu, a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) was fired at the building. The National Investigation Agency will send a team to the Intelligence Office to investigate the matter.

In an official statement, Mohali police said, “An explosion was reported at the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Sector 77, SAS Nagar around 7.45 pm. There is no damage. Senior officers are on the spot and investigation is underway.” Forensic teams have been called.”
