Three suspects were arrested by Panadura-Pinwatte Police in connection with the murder of a woman whose body had been dumped in a lavatory pit of a Tourist Hotel in Pinwatte recently.
The woman, Kaluwarathanthirige Thusari Dilhani (29), was a dancer who had lived in Kadawatha.
The suspects, Palamandadige Kanchana Maduwansa,Aluthge Don Amal Maduwansa and Kasun Thusara, were arrested and produced before Panadura Additional Magistrate Lahiru N. Silva and remanded pending investigations
The body of the woman had been found from the pit of the hotel in the presence of the Panadura Acting Magistrate and the Panadura Additional Medical Officer. Police investigations so far had revealed that the two employees of the Pinwatte hotel had met the woman in Kadawatha and accompanied her to the hotel where they spent a few days before they murdered her and dumped the body in the lavatory pit of the hotel, Police said.
