Taylor Sheridan's upcoming 'Tulsa King' to premiere in November

New Delhi:

Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming Sylvester Stallone starrer series ‘Tulsa King’ premiere date has been announced by Paramount Plus.

According to Variety, the show will premiere on November 13 with two episodes. All remaining episodes will become available for streaming weekly on Sundays. As per Deadline, ‘Tulsa King’, produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, will revolve around New York mafia capo Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi (Stallone). After being released from prison after 25 years, he’s unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa.

Realizing that his mob family might not have his best interests in mind, Dwight gradually builds a ‘crew’ from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.

On April 20, while speaking about the issue to the cover story of

, Sheridan revealed that he came up with the idea for “Tulsa King,” wrote the pilot and in about one week brought Stallone onboard.

“I was talking with a producer, and it’s COVID,” he says. “Everyone’s kind of going stir-crazy. He was asking me about ideas. I said, ‘Look, all you need, in my opinion, to have an interesting TV show is take a really fascinating character and drop them in a world that we don’t know anything about.’”

The series is executive produced by Sheridan, Stallone, Winter, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Braden Aftergood and Allen Coulter.

‘Tulsa King’ starrs Freaks and Geeks and Veronica Mars as well as films such as Honey Boy, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Under the Silver Lake.
