Share Market Update: Sensex, Nifty jump on strong global cues

The Indian stock market is seeing a boom today amid mixed global cues. On Wednesday (May 25) on the third day of this trading week, both Sensex and Nifty are open and trading on the green mark. On the other hand, the Indian rupee opened with a slight increase at 77.52 per dollar today, while on Tuesday it had closed at 77.58.

The Bombay Stock Exchange’s (BSE) 30-share Sensex (BSE Sensex) rose 288 points or 0.53 per cent to open at 54,340, while the National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) Nifty (NSE Nifty) gained 89 points or 0.55 per cent to open trading at the level of 16214. 

Today, trading started in a total of 1279 companies in the BSE, out of which about 786 shares opened with a rise and 420 with a fall. At the same time, the share price of 73 companies opened without increasing or decreasing. Apart from this, today 33 shares are trading at 52 week high and 13 shares are trading at 52 week low. Whereas 74 shares have upper circuit since morning and 67 shares have lower circuit.

Big stocks rising and falling today

Nifty top gainers were IndusInd Bank, SBI Life, State Bank, HDFC Life and Coal India, while Asian Paints, Adani Ports, Grasim, Tech Mahindra and Wipro were in the top losers. IndusInd Bank is showing a jump of 2.83 per cent and SBI Life is up 2.47 per cent. HDFC Life is trading up 2.13 per cent and Nestle Industries is up by 2.11 per cent. SBI is trading with a strength of 1.62 percent.

– Asian Paints is down about 3 per cent and Adani Ports is trading at a decline of 2.45 per cent. Tech Mahindra is down 2.01 per cent and HCS Tech is down 0.89 per cent. Apart from this, Tata Motors is trading with a weakness of 0.83 percent.

This was the condition of the market on Tuesday

Earlier, both the indices closed with a fall in the last trading day, making a sharp start to Tuesday. The Sensex index lost 236 points or 0.43 per cent to end at 54,053, while the Nifty index slipped 89 points or 0.55 per cent to end at 16,125.
