Share Market Update: Big jump in Sensex, Nifty as stock market rises again

After a continuous decline for the last several days, the Indian stock market seems to be returning once again. The Indian stock market seems to be recovering today after a steady decline amid a positive trend in the global and Asian markets.

Today both the indices of the market have opened on the green mark. Both BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty have climbed up to 1.50 per cent in early trade. The Sensex opened up 773 points or 1.46 per cent at 53565 and the Nifty was up 240 points or 1.52 at 16049.80.

Today, trading started in a total of 1,405 companies in the BSE, out of which about 1,098 shares opened up and 237 opened with a fall. At the same time, the share price of 70 companies opened without increasing or decreasing. Apart from this, today 25 shares are trading at 52 week high and 9 shares are trading at 52 week low. On the other hand, 95 shares have upper circuit since morning and 55 shares have lower circuit.

JSW Steel, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Hero MotoCorp were the top gainers on the Nifty. Tata Steel remains up 5.17 per cent in today’s highest climbers. JSW Steel is up 5.13 per cent. Adani Port is showing a growth of 3.85 percent and Tata Steel is showing a strength of 3.74 percent. Dr Reddy’s Labs is seeing a rise of 3.5 percent. All Sensex stocks opened higher, with Tata Steel, SBI, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, Bharti Airtel, Titan, HUL and L&T rising 1.7-3 per cent each. Among the broader markets, the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rose up to 1.7 per cent.

On the last trading day on Thursday, the market had fallen as soon as it opened amid weak global cues. Traded with a strong decline throughout the day on Thursday. The BSE Sensex closed at 52792, down 1416 points or 2.61 per cent. While the NSE Nifty also closed at 15,809, down 431 points or 2.65 per cent. Investors lost Rs 6.7 lakh crore due to this fall on Thursday.
