After a magnificent run at the box office, Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s film RRR is set for release on two OTT platforms on April 20 starting at 12 am. On Netflix, the film will release in Hindi, English, Portuguese, Korean, Turkish and Spanish whereas on Zee5, the film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The S.S. Rajamouli directorial stamped over Rs.1100 cr globally and set the theatres on fire since its release on March 24.
According to earlier reports, the digital and satellite rights of the film were achieved by Zee Network for Rs 300 Crore.
This action drama film, stars NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt. It also become the most acclaimed Indian film of the year. The film is a combination of the finest performances, action, artwork, visuals, and a gripping storyline.
Talking about RRR’s OTT premiere, director S.S Rajamouli told IndiaTv, “It was exhilarating to see RRR being received well with audiences, not just in India but also internationally. We are excited to now take RRR to film lovers in over 190 countries with Netflix. Nowadays, content is breaking language barriers and tapping into audiences around the world- and Netflix will give RRR a platform to do just that!”
Within the three weeks of its release, S.S. Rajamouli’s film gathered over Rs 1000 crore worldwide. The film was directed on a massive budget of over Rs 450 crore, and till it was on the big screen, it managed to break many records.
