President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday inaugurated a new campus of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Nagpur.
A press release on Saturday had informed about the inauguration. It said, “The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind will visit Maharashtra tomorrow (May 8, 2022) to inaugurate the permanent campus of IIM Nagpur at Dahegaon Mauza, MIHA, Nagpur.”
In the inauguration, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, Maharashtra ministers Nitin Raut and Subhash Desai accompanied the President.
While IIM Nagpur tweeted, “Inauguration of IIM Nagpur New Campus at MIHAN at the hands of Hon. President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday, 8th May 2022, 10:00 AM.
Hon’ble Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Nagpur Shri CP Gurnani will also be gracing the occasion.”
The President inaugurated the campus at 10:00 am on Sunday.
IIM Nagpur started its journey in the year 2015 under the mentorship of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The Institute’s first batch of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management commenced on the 23rd of July 2015.
