Mrunal Thakur, Aditya Roy Kapur's crime thriller gets a title - Know more

Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur’s previously untitled film is now titled Gumraah. Based on true events, the crime thriller features Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen in a double role for the very first time in two completely different avatars and Mrunal Thakur will be seen playing a Cop. This thriller film will showcase an intense face-off between Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur. 

Aditya Roy Kapur has completed the first schedule and will begin the second schedule today along with Mrunal Thakur who has kick started the second schedule in Mumbai and Ronit Roy will be joining the shoot soon. 

Helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar the film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.

Gumraah is a remake of Telugu film Thadam. Mrunal, who has featured in films like Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30 and John Abraham’s Batla House, earlier said she came on board the film the moment she heard the story.

“My character is very intriguing and playing a cop has been on my checklist. This will be a very distinct role from all the characters I have played till now and I am looking forward to audiences watching this one,” Mrunal said in a statement.

The 2019 Tamil action thriller, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, featured Arun Vijay in a double role alongside Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat and Vidya Pradeep.
