LPG Cylinder Price: Big blow for common man as LPG rates jump

LPG Cylinder Price: 

The new month of May has started from today. But on the first day of the month of May, the common people have got a big blow of inflation. Government Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have increased the price of LPG gas cylinder by up to Rs 104 per cylinder from today.

This increase has not happened in domestic LPG cylinders but in commercial gas cylinders. At present, there is no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders. Let us tell you that on March 1 last month, the price of commercial gas cylinder was increased by Rs 268.50.

After this hike, the price of 19 kg commercial gas in Delhi has increased by Rs 102 to Rs 2,355. The price of commercial gas in Mumbai has increased by Rs 102 to Rs 2307. In Kolkata, the price of 19 commercial gas cylinders has increased the most by Rs 104. Its price has increased to Rs 2455. The price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Chennai has increased by Rs 102. Here the price has increased to Rs 2,508.

There is some relief for the common people that the oil companies have not increased the prices of domestic LPG. The price of 14.2 kg gas cylinder without subsidy in Delhi is Rs 949.5. 949.50 in Mumbai, Rs 976 in Kolkata and Rs 965.50 for non-subsidised cylinder in Chennai. While the cost of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Lucknow is Rs 987.50 and in Patna it is Rs 1039.5.
