Kia India has released the sales report for April 2022. The company sold 19,019 units last month, registering an increase of 18 per cent over April last year. With this, Kia India has joined the top 5 car companies in India. Kia India had a strong market share of 6.5 per cent in April 2022, which is 0.9 per cent higher than the market share during the same period last year.
Seltos continues to be the largest contributor to overall sales with 7,506 units, followed by the newly launched Carriage with 5,754 units, Sonet with 5,404 units and Carnival with 355 units. Kia India achieved yet another milestone by crossing the milestone of selling 2 lakh connected cars in the country this month.
Commenting on the performance, Hardeep Singh Brar, VP and Head of Sales & Marketing, Kia India said, “Kia India has averaged 20,000 units per month in 2022 and it has been a healthy year for us. The global automotive industry has been grappling with a supply chain crisis since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. We are seeing a huge demand for our vehicles, and we are constantly optimizing our production to keep waiting periods under control. ,
