Kashmir: 2 LeT terrorists arrested in Srinagar; pistol, ammunition recovered

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested 2 local terrorists of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)/TRF in Srinagar. 

IG Kashmir said that incriminating material, arms and ammunition including 15 pistols, 30 magazines, 300 rounds and 1 silencer have been recovered from their possession. A case has been registered in this regard and an investigation has been launched.

He said, “Srinagar Police has arrested 2 local hybrid terrorists of banned terrorist organization Lashkar/TRF. Incriminating material, arms and ammunition including 15 pistols, 30 magazines, 300 rounds and 1 silencer have been recovered.”

Meanwhile, ahead of the start of the Amarnath Yatra, there has been a threatening letter of the terrorist organization TRF has come to the fore. The Amarnath Yatra is scheduled to start on June 30.

Issuing a threatening letter, the TRF has targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the central government.

Pakistan-backed terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF) has issued a threat letter regarding the Amarnath Yatra. In the letter, the terrorist organization has targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The organization says that they are not against the yatra, but the pilgrims are safe as long as they do not meddle in the Kashmir issue.

June 15 deadline

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday set June 15 as the deadline for completion of all works related to the annual Amarnath Yatra this year and said the administration’s priority is to ensure the best facilities for the pilgrims.

Sinha reviewed the preparations for the yatra at a high-level meeting at the Raj Bhavan here. The Deputy Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police and officers of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) also attended the meeting. 

The Lieutenant Governor said that ensuring the best facilities for the pilgrims is the priority of the administration. He fixed June 15 as the deadline to complete all the works related to Shri Amarnathji Yatra. The yatra will start on June 30 this year on both Pahalgam and Baltal routes.
