Karnataka Paper Leak Case: 10 arrested including teacher, journalist in class 10th question paper leak case

Days after the declaration of SSLC exam results, a police complaint has been filed at Magadi police station in Ramanagara district, alleging that the SSLC Science question paper was published on April 11 by the teachers of Kempegowda School, Ramanagara. It was leaked during the exam. The SSLC exam was held from March 28 to April 11.

Police have detained seven people, including four teachers, a journalist and the principal of a school, in Magadi taluk of Ramnagar district of the state in connection with the leak of class X examination papers. Police sources have given this information. Police sources said that these people have been detained from different schools (Karnataka Question Paper Leak). He said that these examinations were held in March and April, while the results were announced recently. It also came to light recently that the exam papers were leaked at many places. When the police strictly questioned the principal of a school in the matter, he disclosed it. Based on his statement, 6 more people have been detained in the case, some of whom are likely to be arrested soon.

Question paper was already shared on WhatsApp

It is believed that the teachers got these question papers at least 15 minutes in advance and they shared these pamphlets in their network through WhatsApp. The detainees told the police that soon after, the answers to the questions given in the pamphlets were prepared and the students were informed about it. He told the police that the aim was to ensure that no student failed the exam.

Large Number of First Division Passed Students

Sources said that a large number of students passed with first division and some got special merit in various subjects. A few other schools getting similar test results are being monitored. He said that if the school principal had shared the question paper on the teachers’ WhatsApp group, the matter would not have come to the fore.

By the time he realized his mistake, some people had downloaded it and allegedly blackmailed the principal. According to sources, one of the detained journalists also allegedly blackmailed the principal and extorted money from him for leaking the papers.
