Actor Jr NTR and KGF Chapter 2 director Prashanth Neel are collaborating on a new project. The actor-director duo recently bonded over a friendly get together as they celebrated their wedding anniversaries. Jr NTR, who was recently seen in SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR, shared a picture from the intimate celebrations on Instagram. Sharing the picture, Jr. NTR wrote: “When you share anniversaries, it calls for a celebration.#newbeginnings (sic).”
Excited fans took to comment section to shower the couples with much love and blessings. “Hope historical announcement will be announced soon #jaintr,” wrote one fan. “Prashant sir+ ntr garu = All time blockbuster,” another fan wrote. One netizen chipped in, “How do you manage to smile well in all your pictures?”
KGF 2 cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, who was also part of the celebrations, took to Twitter to share another picture. He wrote: “Anniversary love birds. Wishing the both couple (sic).”
KGF Chapter 2 and RRR both crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark at the box office within a few days of their release. Both films have turned out to be huge pan-Indian hits, and have created a stir in the Hindi film industry. KGF Chapter 2 has now become the second highest grossing film in the Hindi belt, after SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2.
Meanwhile, Jr NTR and Prashanth will be collaborating for the first time for their upcoming film NTR 31. According to reports, the film will go on the floors next year. Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Prashant Neel said, “I am super excited about the film. Please don’t ask me about the genre of that movie because it’s far off at the moment.” He added, “I have been a fan of NTR for the last 15 to 20 years. We have met 10 to 15 times just casually before we even started the script work. I wanted to understand him a little more and that’s my process with all my actors.”
