Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show will have Jennifer Aniston as its last guest. Ellen had earlier announced that Season 19 will be the last one of her much-popular talk show. Notably, Jennifer Aniston was also Ellen’s first guest ever on the show.
Ellen famously kicked off The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2003 with Jennifer Aniston as her first-ever guest on the show and as a full-circle moment, she will also be bidding farewell to the show with Aniston as her last guest. In September last year, Aniston had also appeared on the debut of the last season.
Ellen decided to end the show in May of 2021 following complaints of a toxic workplace from staff on the show that led to an internal probe from Warner Bros. In a pre-recorded video from her show, shared on her Twitter account, she told her virtual audience: ‘I am announcing that next season, season 19, is going to be my last season.
Meanwhile, during her appearance on the debut of the last season, Aniston was seen teary-eyed after Ellen introduced her as a friend who has been a part of the show since day 1.
‘What the hell? This is not supposed to be emotional, God dang it! Not yet – it’s not even over, you know I have not been out in a long time, like two years, and I am not kidding, and the last time I was here hosting a show was here when you were at the DMV,” Jennifer said.
It was announced on Tuesday that May 26 will be final episode of Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show. Other guests that will appear before the finale include Oprah Winfrey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mila Kunis, Kate McKinnon, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban, Zac Efron, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Luke Bryan, Kerry Washington, Brad Paisley and Bruno Mars.
