'It's not at all political, it's for our faith': Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut on Maha Tourism Min Aditya Thackeray's Ayodhya visit

Mumbai:

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday asserted that the visit of Maharashtra Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray to Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya is not political instead it is for their faith. He said Thackeray will visit Ayodhya to seek blessing of Lord Ram on June 10.

“Preparations for welcoming Shiv Sena have started in Ayodhya. Aaditya Thackeray will go to Ayodhya on June 10 along with Shiv Sena workers from across the country and will seek blessings there. It’s not at all political, it’s for our faith.” said Sanjay Raut.

Aditya Thackeray, son of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, will visit Ayodhya on June 10. It should be noted that the visit of Aditya Thackeray will take place five days after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray will go to Ayodhya.

However, Raj Thackeray has faced a backlash since the announcement of his trip to Uttar Pradesh. In the latest, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh sought an apology from the Raj Thackeray over his several distasteful statements against the north Indians.

The BJP leader asserted that he will not let the MNS chief enter Ayodhya and he also urged the state Chief Minister not to meet Thackeray. “He must apologise to North Indians else I won’t allow him to enter Ayodhya. I have requested UP CM Yogi Adityanath as well not to meet him until he seeks an apology,” said the BJP MP.

Meanwhile, Raut denied to make any comments on the BJP leader’s remarks on Raj Thackeray.

The MNS chief will visit Ayodhya on June 5. The MNS asked the people has invited people to join party chief Raj Thackeray on his visit to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. The party appealed through the posters that read ‘Chalo Ayodhya’ that were pasted across Mumbai’s streets.

The posters read, “Jai Shri Ram. Dharmada nahi main bhi dharm abhimani. Chalo Ayodhya (loosely translated as Jai Shri Ram. I am not religious for goodness’ sake. I am a religious person. Let’s go to Ayodhya.)”

The MNS chief currently held a mega rally in Aurangabad on May 1 where he called upon the Hindu community to play Hanuman Chalisa on double volume wherever they find azan (Muslim prayer) being played on the loudspeaker.
