ISIS in Africa: Terrorists execute 20 Christians in Nigeria

Abuja (Nigeria):

The entire continent of Africa is becoming a stronghold of the dreaded terrorists of Islamic State (ISIS). There are many such countries including Mozambique, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, which are troubled by the terror of ISIS.

Now ISIS terrorists have killed 20 Christians in Nigeria by slitting their throats. These dreaded ISIS terrorists have also released a video of this incident. In this video, masked terrorists are seen kneeling in front of Christian hostages with knives in their hands.

10 Christians executed in Nigeria’s Borno state

According to the report of DailyMail, these dreaded terrorists of ISIS mercilessly killed these Christians by slitting their throats in Borno state of Nigeria. Boko Haram and Islamic State in West Africa (ISWAP), two radical Islamic terrorist groups in this state, have been kidnapping, looting and killing on a large scale. Video footage showed one of the ISIS executioners saying in Hausa language that the killings were a reaction to the deaths of ISIS leaders in the Middle East earlier this year.

Attacks were carried out in the state even in the presence of the UN Secretary General

Last week, ISIS attacked and killed at least seven people in northeast Borno. The big deal is that these terrorists attacked the village of Kautkari in the Chibok region at the same time when UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was on a visit to the state to meet the survivors of jihadist violence. The Chibok region is 70 miles from Maiduguri, the state capital. It was in Maiduguri that Antonio Guterres interacted with ex-militants and victims of violence.

Community leader Hassan Chibok said ISIS militants launched the attack in large numbers and with deadly weapons. It was not up to us to stop them. They captured our community in no time. Troops were deployed from a nearby military base to stop the attack, but by then the damage was done. He claimed that ISIS had killed at least 10 people from his community.

Nigeria is suffering from Islamic terrorism

Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation with 206 million people, is battling Islamist extremist insurgents from Boko Haram and militants from Islamic State West Africa. These extremists are demanding the establishment of Sharia law in Nigeria and a halt to Western education. According to the United Nations Development Programme, terrorist violence in Nigeria has killed more than 35,000 people and displaced millions.
