IPL2022, LSGvsRCB: Rajat Patidar ballistic century help RCB to put huge total of 207 for LSG

Kolkata:

Rajat Patidar has changed the entire game for Royal Challengers Bangalore with his fabulous 54-ball 112 runs knock. His powerful performance overcame the shortcoming of the openers, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli.

Plessis was dismissed for a duck and Kohli went back for 25 runs. A challenging target for LSG was out of sight but Patidar turned the game around and shocked everyone with his knock at such crucial times.

Earlier, KL Rahul had won the toss against Royal Challengers Bangalore and opted to bowl first in the first Eliminator of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022. The winner of the game will face Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 and the loser will have to face the exit door.

“We will bowl first. Simple reason, looks like a good wicket, we want to know what we are chasing. Hopefully we will get some swing and take few early wickets. Gowtham and Jason miss out, Krunal and Chameera come in. We were not able to utilize Jason who was batting at no. 8. It is always good if the top three set up the game for your team. Hooda has playing well, and the other guys are looking forward to do well,” said KL Rahul after winning the toss.
