Denmark: Danish PM praises Indian community, gave THIS statement

Copenhagen (Denmark):

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Denmark on Tuesday during his ongoing tour of Europe. PM Modi was warmly received by the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Copenhagen.

PM Modi arrives at Bella Center to address the Indian community in Denmark. During this, Danish PM Mette Fredriksson was also present on the stage with him. 

During her address in Copenhagen, Frederiksen said, “It’s a great pleasure to be here today with you. I am very honoured that we are able to welcome you, my friend, Prime Minister Modi to Denmark. Once again, welcome! I am also very happy that we are with all of you this afternoon.”

“I think together today we show how strong ties we have-of friendship, of families. All this is not least because of all of you. Thank you to all Indians living in Denmark and working in Denmark, making a real positive contribution to Danish society. Thank you all of you,” she added.

‘Teach the Danish public also to welcome a politician’

While speaking at the event to welcome PM Modi in Copenhagen, Danish PM Mette Frederiksen admitted to being awestruck at the reception granted to her counterpart from India by the local Indian community.

As soon as PM Modi arrived

at the Bella Center

, the people of the Indian community present there shouted slogans of “Modi, Modi”. 

“I have to say that you really know how to welcome a politician. Please teach the Danish population on how to do it,” she said.

The Danish PM said that many important agreements have been signed between India and Denmark.

PM Modi to leave for France from Denmark

According to reports, delegation-level talks will be held between the Prime Ministers of both the countries and MoUs will be exchanged. PM Modi will also meet Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and participate in the Business Roundtable. 

On Monday, PM Modi reached Germany and a day later on Wednesday he will reach France where he will meet French President Emmanuel Macron.
