Congress slams Centre as NDA completes 8 years in power

As the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government completes 8 years in power at the Centre, the opposition Congress has released a ‘report card’ on its performance.

The Congress leaders including party General Secretary Randeep Surjewala and Ajay Maken released a booklet called ‘Aath saal, Aath chhal’. In the report, party has pointed out various issues and performance of the PM Modi-led central government on various issues such as economy, foreign policy, communal harmony and inflation.

Congress has alleged that the ‘Acche din’ that was promised during the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaigning in 2014 are not in sight even after the second term in office of saffron party. He said people are still waiting for ‘acche din’. 

Meanwhile, Maken asserted that only BJP along with few industrialists have been benefitted from this government. 

Congress accused the BJP of mis-governance saying that ‘once was the fastest growing economy is now in turmoil.’ 

The party officials also hit out at the Prime Minister over his silence on the Chinese incursion at borders. They called it a threat on the Indian sovergnity. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government will complete its eight years at the Centre on May 30, which the party plans to celebrate from May 30 to June 14 at a grand level across the country by holding various events.
