CBI registers case against husband of Guntur Zilla Parishad chairperson

CBI officials have registered a case against Kattera Suresh, husband of Guntur Zilla Parishad chairperson Christina. A Vijayawada-based Legal Protection Cell recently complained that Suresh Kumar, who is the president of the Tenali-based Harvest India Society, had received foreign funds in violation of FCRA regulations.

The CBI has registered a case against him for allegedly receiving funds illegally, contrary to FCRA regulations. CBI officials said the case was registered following a complaint lodged by the Legal Rights Protection Forum. 

Suresh has also been charged with adopting minors and relocating children abroad. The National Commission for the Rights of the Child has issued notices to Guntur SP Arif Hafeez to investigate and take action against Katara Suresh’s activities.
