The prices of food items at canteens will be increased by 10 percent, President of the All Island Canteen Owners Association Asela Sampath said.
He said the decision was taken based on yesterday’s fuel price hike.
Accordingly, the price of bakery food items will also be increased with the price hike, he said.
The Association has to increase the price of the food items in order to protect the industry and consumers, he said.
