are taking the Serie A 2021/22 towards a thrilling weekend as they pull up their socks to play their respective nail-biting fixtures on Sunday at the same time at 2 different venues.
The rivalry of these Milan clubs is giving fans a reason to make speculation about the title winner of the tournament as the two displays high chances of winning the game.
How special is this victory of AC Milan?
AC Milan have been one of the most celebrated club of the league, having won the title 18 times. They are in the line of the becoming the joint-second most successful club if they manage to secure victory this Sunday. Milan won their last title in 2011 and then went through a drastic, unfortunate events for the team that led to their fall from grace.
4 years after win under Massimiliano Allegri, Milan could not even finish in top four for straight seven years from 2014-2020 and the reasons were mainly the matters off the pitch. If the Rossoneri manage to defeat the hosts Sassuolo, they will be the deserving holder of the prestigious silverware, irrespective of the results of the other game. But here is a glitch, Milan’s most recent results against Sassuolo haven’t been in their favour. In the last meeting of the two, Red and Blacks were the hosts and they lost both the games. However, Sassuolo have been suffering five consecutive home defeats since 2016/17. The title decider will be played at Mapei Stadium stadium, Reggio Emilia city, Italy and thus, Milan have an upper hand.
If Milan Draw against Sassuolo and Inter Win against Sampdoria
IF AC Milan fail to win against Sassuolo on Sunday and only get an away draw, their points tally will rise to 84. Meanwhile, if their arch-rivals, Inter, mark the victory over Sampdoria, their points will be equal to Milan i.e. 84, each in 38 matches.
Now, the decision will be taken on the basis of head to head performances in this season. In the two Serie A 2021/22 meetings of the two, Milan had a 1-1 home draw and later they beat hosts Inter by 2-1 margin. So, the trophy will go in the hands of Milan.
If Milan Lose against Sampdoria and Inter Lose against Sampdoria

This is the scenario that Inter require to come out victorious from their position and take revenge of their 2011 defeat. Milan’s last win in 2011 left Inter as runner up and situations are similar a decade later. If Black and Blues desire a different result this time, they need to work hard to win against Sampdoria and gain 3 points and pray for Sassuolo to win against Milan. If this happens, then Inter Milan will celebrate the Serie A title.
