West Bengal: Victim's father levels explosive allegations against TMC leader in Hanskhali Rape Case

Hanskhali (West Bengal):

The gang rape victim’s father in Hanskhali village in the Nadia village of West Bengal has leveled explosive allegations against the son of the arrested Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader.

“They took my daughter’s body to the crematorium after threatening us with guns,” the father of the Hanskhali gang-rape victim told the media.

How was the last rites of the Hanskhali gang-rape victim performed without a death certificate? Who is behind the scenes? A lot of questions related to this case are yet to be answered.

“The accused picked up the body and took it to the crematorium,” the victim’s father said.

“After the death of my daughter, they did not give me half an hour. Her body was taken away. I was at home. I know one of them. His name is Braj Gayali,” he added.

This is not the end of the story.

The victim’s father said, “They threatened us that if we approached a doctor or hospital, they will burn us alive.”

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has defended the son of the arrested Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader who is the main accused in this incident. TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has questioned why the police were informed 5 days after the death of the minor.

“The death occurred on April 5, the police came to know on April 10. Why didn’t you lodge a complaint on April 5?” Mamata Banerjee had said on April 11.

Replying to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, the victim’s father said, “We were not allowed to go to the police station after the death of the girl. They threatened us. They did not allow us to go. We did not go out of fear. They had threatened us that they will shoot us on the road if we went to the police station.”

The CBI is investigating

Meanwhile, after taking charge of the investigation, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR. A special team of the CBI has left Kolkata for Hanskhali.

The CBI has taken charge of the investigation into the incident.

The FIR names only the son of Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Braj Gayali. The CBI has filed charges under murder, gang rape, falsification of evidence and the POCSO Act.
