Yet another allegation of attempted rape has been leveled against Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers has come to the fore in West Bengal.
There have been allegations of death threats after attempted rape against a person linked to the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the town of Mainaguri in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal.
The victim has attempted to commit suicide by setting herself on fire. One person has been arrested while the main accused is elusive.
The alleged attempted rape took place on February 24. The police have arrested the brother of the main accused.
After that, the accused allegedly started threatening the victim and her family. He went to her home with his gang and started threatening to kill her family members.
The minor tried to commit suicide by setting fire to herself. The condition of the minor is critical.
The family of the minor claimed that the accused was close to the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
