Welgama won’t sign for NCM, Interim Govt

Kalutara District Parliamentarian Kumara Welgama has informed Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena yesterday (28) that he will not sign any No-Confidence Motion nor will he endorse moves for an Interim Government.

He has informed the Speaker in a letter that he will abstain from voting in the  case of above two matters being subjected to a vote. Kumara Welgama has also stated in the letter that he will not support any government action until the current President remains as the Head of State.

In the letter Welgama has also proposed seven measures that Parliament should take to save the country and the people from current crisis.
