The Police Headquarters stated that special security arrangements have been made in every main city in view of the New Year.
Accordingly, Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said that people should be extra cautious when visiting main town areas during the festive season.
“Police have deployed special Police teams to prevent accidents during the New Year season and are taking steps to arrest speeding and drunk drivers,” the Police Spokesman said.
