A shop owner was shot dead by two persons had arrived on a motorcycle in Pethiyagoda in the Peliyagoda Police Division on Tuesday.
The assailants had shot the victim and fled the scene. According to the police, investigations had commenced into the incident. Police said that the assailants had targeted the shop owner and no one else was injured in the shooting.
Investigations are underway by the Peliyagoda Police to apprehend the suspects.
